CAIN is an encyclopaedic resource and provides a wide range of information and source material on the Northern Ireland conflict and from 1968 to the present, including background information, information on key events, an extensive bibliography, online books and articles, photographs, posters and maps. A key resource is a selection of digitised records held by the Public Records Office of Northern Ireland (PRONI). The  selection is mainly confined to the period  1968-1980.
