Title | Interview with Danny Kinahan and Mervyn Storey by Stephen Nolan for BBC Radio Ulster The Nolan Show on 13 May 2013 |
Date | 13 May 2013 |
Description | Audio interview with Danny Kinahan, UUP MLA for South Antrim, and Mervyn Storey, DUP MLA for North Antrim, by Stephen Nolan for BBC Radio Ulster The Nolan Show on 13 May 2013. Four days earlier Peter Robinson and Martin McGuinness, First Minister and deputy First Minister of Northern Ireland respectively, announced a new strategy for building a shared future entitled ‘Together: Building a United Community’. This strategy proposes the removal of peace walls within ten years; the creation of schemes for youth integration and the establishment of a cross-party working group to deal with issues such as flags, parading and reconciliation with the past. Kinahan and Storey discuss the suggestion that the goal of single education has been removed from the programme. The Nolan Show is BBC Radio Ulster’s daily current affairs programme. |
