Craig had been dismissed by the Prime Minister of Northern Ireland, Terence O'Neill, in December 1968. In January 1969 Brian Faulkner and William Morgan resigned from Terence O'Neill's administration over the issue of the latter's support for political reform. Twelve members of the Unionist Party also wrote an open letter to O'Neill calling for a change of leadership. Craig is interviewed about the unity of the Unionist Party. O'Neill was to resign as Prime Minister of Northern Ireland in April of that year. |
