Latest update from the project team
My name is Sarah Lorimer and I am the new Research Officer with Peace Process: Layers of Meaning. I previously worked for the East Belfast Community Development Agency where I managed a local oral history project. I am delighted to join the team and welcome the opportunity to bring my skills to bear on this much larger project. I have come on board at a very busy time: our oral history training programme kicks off in London this week and we are working towards the next round of heritage interviews.
Preparations are currently underway for two key events - the third bi-annual Advisory Committee meeting and a lunchtime reception at the House of Lords, where we will have an opportunity to brief Westminster politicians and officials, past and present members of the Northern Ireland Select Committee, members of the London-Irish community, London-based academics, and other interested parties about our work and the aims of the project.

Oral History Training Programme
We are grateful to all those who submitted applications for our three-part course in oral history and social enquiry interviewing.
We have been working closely with Eastside Heritage to develop a programme that explores interviewing in the context of community change and conflict.
We were delighted with the number of applications we received for the training programme and look forward to meeting them all this week.
